Nestled in the heart of downtown Chandler is one of the area's best-kept secrets - San Marcos Golf Course. Opening in 1913 and seeded with Bermuda grass the following year, San Marcos is Arizona’s first all-green grass golf course! Having completed a $3.9 million renovation in 2014, our par-72, 6640-yard parkland-style course features lush tree-lined fairways, manicured greens, sparkling water features, and an abundance of indigenous flora and fauna. Complementing the golf course renovations is the club's spectacular clubhouse facility, which was completely redesigned to preserve its historic elegance and charm. Original Terrazzo adorns the clubhouse floors, while high vaulted wooden ceilings accentuate the unique architecture and history of the golf course. Clubhouse facilities include a world-class golf shop, convivial bar and grill, and a variety of outdoor lounge spaces that allow our guests to take in the scenic greens, palm trees and desert landscape background.

Gila River Sand & Gravel had their seventh annual golf tournament this year at San Marcos Golf Course and as one of the organizers, I can honestly say it was our best yet! I began working with Nick Lacy in February discussing what GRSG wanted at the tournament from the golf, the food, the raffle prizes, etc. The food was wonderful, the course was in great shape and they stored our raffle prizes until it was time to put them on display.
